Owner Notification of Start of Work

As per amended NYC Building Code Section 3303.10.2 the owner must notify the department of Buildings not less than 24 hours but not more than 72 hours before starting work requiring a Tenant Protection Plan (TPP).

For DOB NOW jobs, owners should log into DOB NOW and from the dashboard, select +Notifications and then Tenant Protection Plan.

For jobs filed in BIS, owners should continue to notify DOB of the start of work through the Owner Notification form on DOB’s website.
